Objectives
- To measure patient acuity relating to clinical hours requiered for care

- To facilitate the development of acuity based budgets
- To measure labour costs for specific episodes of care / DRG's
- To track variances in patient outcomes and their impact on nursing hours required for care
- To facilitate benchmarking activities
