Trend Care Systems Pty Ltd has won a national iAward for its unique clinical support and management system TrendCare. The award will see TrendCare compete against innovators from the entire Asia-Pacific region in Indonesia later this year.

Trend Care Systems swept all before it by taking out the ICT Exporter of the Year award, as well as first place in the e-Health category of the national iAwards, which were created by the Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA) to recognise innovation in technology.

Trend Care Systems is an Australian owned provider of hospital software for the private and public hospital sector. The TrendCare solution is a result of 16 years of research and is a clinical decision support and workload management solution for hospitals. This innovative solution addresses critical business issues by identifying the importance of evidence-based management in nursing, allowing healthcare workers to provide a more accurate level of care.

Trend Care Systems will go on to represent Australia at the Asia Pacific ICT Awards (APICTAs) which will be held in Indonesia later this year, and will compete against the national winners from 16 other Asia Pacific economies including China, India and Korea.

The iAward winners are announced at a Gala Dinner in the Crown Casino, Melbourne on May 28. The judging panel comprised of high-profile representatives from academia, government, associations, the private sector and media.

The iAwards are presented by the Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA), the Australian Financial Review and the CSIRO ICT Centre, and recognises the best Australian information and comminications technology (ICT) innovations each year.
